Just
when you thought the global growth of LFL Football could not continue
on its current pace, LFL officials are set to announce the Open Tryouts
Football Combine for LFL Europa’s Dublin franchise.
Last
month, the Manchester, UK LFL Europa franchise debuted with an open
tryout, which not only drew women from all over the UK, but also from
the far reaches of Italy. The Manchester franchise announcement precedes
the launch of franchises in Dublin, Ireland and Dusseldorf and Hamburg,
Germany, each of which will be holding open tryouts in the near future.
With
international league-play to continue in Canada this Fall, commence in
Australia this December, and now enter into Europe, the LFL is on pace
to be seen in more international households outside of the US than the
National Football League (NFL) by 2014.
“This
is certainly an exciting time to be part of the LFL and a fan as the
sport continues its unprecedented growth globally. It’s amazing to think
that women from places like Germany, Italy, Russia and other places all
over the world are aware of our sport and aspire to play on the now
global stage of LFL Football,” said Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder &
Chairman, Legends Football League, LLC.
Details
for the Dublin Open Tryout will be announced within two weeks. Fans
throughout Ireland will have the opportunity to vote for the name of
their national team.
