UIFL Terminates Miami Sting
The
Ultimate Indoor Football League has announced the Miami Sting will not
compete in 2013. Do to unforeseen circumstances; the ownership group of
the Miami Sting is currently not meeting all the obligations of the UIFL
territory agreements. As a result of these circumstances, the UIFL has
elected to terminate the ownership groups affiliation with the league.
This formal release is effective immediately. The UIFL has worked
diligently to find a new ownership group to allow the Sting to play this
year. The UIFL was unable to secure new ownership in time to be
competitively prepared for the 2013 season. The first game affected by
the change is the Corpus Christi Fury, which will now travel to Missouri
to take on the Missouri Monsters on Friday March 8th. The league has
released the full revised schedule at http://www.uiflfootball.com.
