The Knoxville Nighthawks have named professional sports veteran Andy Haskell as their new general manager.
Haskell brings over 20 years of experience to the Knoxville front office.
"It's
exciting to add someone with Andy's experience to our organization,"
Southern Sports & Entertainment president Joe Stroud said.
"Andy
is a total professional and knows the ins and outs of the business. He
will work well with the Knoxville business community and surrounding
areas."
Haskell's
professional career includes stops with the Wichita Outlaws of the
Global Basketball Association, University of Arkansas Little Rock
athletic department, the Arkansas RiverBlades of the East Coast Hockey
League, Arkansas Twisters and Tennessee Valley Vipers of arena football
2, the Alabama Vipers of the Arena Football League, and most recently
the AFL's Georgia Force.
He
has held a variety of titles during that time that range from account
executive to general manager. Many of his responsibilities have been in
the area of ticket and corporate sales.
